Today's hike was a mostly a down valley tour through spectacular wild flowers and quaint villages.

Although the rain remained with us most of the day, the walk itself was very pleasant.

I tried capturing one of the hundreds of butterflies we saw:

A friend in a village garden:

We found a bench just at the right time for a patch of sunshine and a bite of lunch:

We arrived at the tiny village of Le Sage early enough in the afternoon to wake the kids when we tried calling (sorry)! For the first time, I vetoed our place we had arranged for the evening. It was just on the icky and depressing side rustic and we ended up at the Hotel Le Sage instead. It was the exact opposite. Beautiful!!

We didn't have an option to prepare our own meal for dinner, so when in Switzerland...

Very cozy as we snuggle into bed and rest up for another big altitude and mileage day tomorrow.
Oh, almost forgot the other fantastic touch. They let us wash our dirty clothes in their wash machine!!
